The Region 2 PEHSU, founded in 1999, is based in New York City at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and serves New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Region 2 Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU) provides evidence-based messages and resources on common environmental exposures where children live, learn, and play. Our PEHSU provides health professionals, families, and communities with information necessary to navigate differing environments in safe and healthy ways.
