Infants can be exposed to pesticides that can be found in breastmilk among those who have eaten high fat foods (ex. dairy, red meat) that contain pesticide residues. Food (or baby food) grown with pesticides can also contain pesticide residues. Children who live, go to school, or play near treated fields may experience spray drift from pesticide applications on crops or fields. Pesticides can also be found in soil, dust, and drinking water.
